When your dreams of a perfect start into the weekend become true without a lot of planning beforehand with all the things you really love and adore  – well, it’s all sorts of amazing that’s for sure.

It’s hardly a week since my return to the UK and I must admit that I started off quite slowly. It’s definitely not my cup of tea just to sit around doing nothing at all but my heart and soul was longing for a nice break over the holidays, I gave in and went lazy. Going back to normal now seems to be a lot harder but I’m getting there. I wanted to go to Llangollen in Denbighshire to take some photos but made no real plans. Usually when it comes to the blog, I need to do a lot of planning and research to make sure everything will turn out as I want it. That’s the idea anyway. There are definitely times when things simply go wrong because I didn’t put enough thought into it. Luckily this was a day fed by intuition and one thing led to another in the nicest possible way. We know Llangollen and love the area. If by any chance you’re looking for an incredible place with the most beautiful view, you must walk up Castle Dinas Bran (see the post here). discover llangollen denbighsire

You get the impression that time has stood still in Llangollen: There’s not only the train station with a historic steam train travelling through the pretty Dee Valley and where you come across all those beautiful vintage suitcases. It’s more looking like a film set than a reality. Walking along the small alleys and side streets, there are fantastic antique shops and cosy tea rooms as well. discover llangollen denbighshire

And if you like to book a train ticket for the 10 mile train journey, you can get more information here. You might also want to check out the tea room in one of the old wagons at the station. After having checked out the station, we took a walk along the alleys in this little city and luck was on our side: There it was – the Vintage Rose Tea Room. It all fell into place. The train station that looked as if Lady Mary was going to appear on the platform any minute wearing one of her breathtaking gowns (after Downton Abbey and Season 2 of The Crown I’m longing for more!) and this little cosy team room with its vintage dishes as the icing on the cake. discover llangollen denbighshire

Petra

There is nothing better than a cosy tea room! I always look for them when I go to places like that. I’ve been to Llangollen before, but it was only a quick visit. Definitely want to visit again, it’s so lovely there!

I’m so glad you like it Catherine, thanks so much. I got the blouse at Zara (they might still have it) and just used my own bow that I bought through Etsy. Have a great week.xx
