It always surprises me how many country houses there actually are in Cheshire; it’s really fantastic and such a treat. There’s so much to do in Cheshire and all those stunning country houses and gardens are just a tiny fraction. No wonder I love it so much. Even though we are National Trust members, we also like visiting some of the privately owned houses. They are so worth checking out!

Adlington Hall is one of those country houses in the beautiful English countryside where you can spend hours and hours. The mansion combines 2 styles: The traditional black and white style that Cheshire is known for; the other style of the property consists of red brick. It makes it so very special.

Adlington Hall is open to the public for only about 6 months throughout the year. We made use of this public access on the very last day in 2017 and drove to Macclesfield. You now have to wait until spring 2018 but I thought it might be a good idea to mention it early enough for those of you who like making plans and put in onto their lists. You can also book the property for your wedding and I think there’s nothing nicer than celebrate in such great style. When we went to Haddon Hall in the Peak District a couple of months ago (see the post here), we sort of bumped into a wedding and it looked like a fairytale. beautiful country house in cheshire’s countryside

I mustn’t forget to mention that I love capes a lot and need to wear them more often. They are so classic and are definitely very English country style. I bought this one almost 3 years ago and somehow it got hidden in a corner of my closet that I almost forgot about it. Glad I spotted it again. beautiful country house in cheshire’s countryside

It’s true….you have the most incredible houses across the pond. It actually puts our area to shame since all of our houses look alike. Maybe that’s why I dress to stand out from the crowd, ha ha!!!
Love those booties!! I used to have a pair kinda like them!!
XOXO
