There’s nothing more fun for me than combining my outfits with all the beautiful villages and regions that surround us. At this point I can’t imagine to ever run out of places. You can easily return to some of the spots because you might have overlooked something the first time round or simply ran out of time. It seems that my list for this country is endless and it would take many many years to go everywhere. I really enjoy sharing it with you and give you some tips for places that are worth visting.

Our current location has the big advantage of being on the Welsh, Shropshire and Cheshire borders. Everything has its own charm and the area in North Wales is very different from the city Chester which is only a 15 minute drive from here. If you’re longing for breathtaking nature and mountains, Snowdonia is literally around the corner. And there’s still a lot for us to discover in Shropshire – Shrewsbury, the county town, is quite enchanting. welsh, shropshire & cheshire borders

On an early Sunday morning some weeks ago we drove to Overton-on-Dee which belong to the Wrexham County. A small village that we loved right away and I think the Georgian cottages most certainly have a lot to do with it. I bet they are tiny but look too pretty. The cottages are from the early 19th century and you spot them the minute you reach the village centre. welsh, shropshire & cheshire borders

As soon as you leave Overton-on-Dee behind and drive towards Erbistock you will come across the great pub The Cross Foxes. We discovered it on the very day and I did some online research once we were back home to find out that it belongs to the Brunning & Price chain. We’ve been to some of these pubs, all of which we absolutely loved. That’s why it’s safe to recommend this place and hopefully we can pay it a visit in the weeks to come. welsh, shropshire & cheshire borders

By the way: Red is a big hit this autumn/winter and I hope you like my red knitted jumper as much as I do.

I’ve just been shortlisted for a blogger award with Thirty Plus in the category ‘Photography Star’ and I’m over the moon. I would be ever so grateful if you could cast your vote which you can do until November 8th (find the link here). Thanks so much.

Hello Jean-Michel, I know and I tried to resubscribe you but it wouldn’t let me. I got a notification a while ago that you unsubscribed. I tried to resubscribe you again. Would you be so kind and let me know if it worked once the newsletter has been out tonight? Thanks.
