MY PERFECT WORLD OF WEDGWOOD

Those of you following me on Pinterest will immediately notice how much I adore colourful crockery, the combination of blue and white and traditional afternoon tea. Things you will all find at the World of Wedgwood in Stoke-on-Trent.

I’ve known Wedgwood since my childhood and I think many of you feel the same way. I’ve always associated luxurious china with it, something only the Queen would use. No wonder I was beyond excited when we finally drove to Stoke-on-Trent to explore this in further detail: We booked a factory tour and the museum topped by a gorgeous afternoon tea. Since I was still struggling with a cold, the decision to stay inside that day was very wise. wedgwood england

We purchased 2 Discovery Tour Tickets at the entrance. I recommend to do this if it’s your first visit and if you’re planning on having afternoon tea it’ll only cost 32 £ instead of 50 £ for two. We wanted to explore everything so it was very well worth it. You don’t have to do it like this, if you just want to go for afternoon tea, that’s fine. You would have to pay the full price then but it’s still reasonable for what you will be offered. The Tea Room lies just behind the pretty store.

We loved the factory tour although not many people work there on weekends. You will see a lot more during the week but we still found it very interesting. We were extremeley fascinated by the china Wedgwood especially produces for the Sultan of Oman. A  single cake plate is 1.500 £!

I booked a glutenfree afternoon tea for me in advance and couldn’t have loved it more. Everything tasted heavenly and it was so much food that we went home with a doggy bag. Just thinking of those warm and yummy glutenfree scones, they couldn’t have tasted any better! And all the blue and white details brought to perfection.

What I wore:

E.F.L.A Tie Neck Shirt, Chicwish Skirt (old; last worn here; love this one too), Acne Jensen Boots, Furla Metropolis Bag

I sort of did, I saw a couple of photos on the internet and thought a white and blue outfit would work perfectly with the surrounding. Glad I went for it. The afternoon tea was simply amazing. Have a lovely weekend Jodie.x
