BLOWN AWAY BY STANAGE EDGE

2017! I wish you all the best for the new year!! How did you celebrate? We spent the evening at my parents’ home, very relaxed and cosy with a traditional Swiss raclette, chats and lots of laughter because today we’re going back to England. I’m not one of those making tons of resolutions. I have some goals of course and I always try to pursue them but over the years I realised that somehow we work on these goals subconsciously and many of them come true years later. It’s what we experienced with moving to the UK and it’s one of the reasons why it feels unreal to us. We dreamt about it for such a long time and then it suddenly happened from one day to the next. It was when we least expected it and wasn’t on our radar anymore. Actually I’m a very impatient character but this is one of those things I learned last year.

If I’m making a list at all, this list hasn’t anything to do with resolutions but it’s filled with places we want to visit in the UK. Stanage Edge was one of these places. Do you know the Pride & Prejudice screen adaptation with Keira Knightley? She’s in Stanage Edge in the Peak District in one scene and its landscape couldn’t be more dramatic. We now went there too a couple of weeks ago and it’s hard for me to even put this into words. The whole landscape, the view – it’s so dramatic and unbelievably beautiful. We had strong winds when we visited and didn’t dare to stand right on the edge because we would have been blown away. Stanage Edge is a gritstone edge which is about 3,5 miles long and very popular with hikers and climbers. We have visited so many gorgeous places so far but can easily say that Stanage Edge belongs to the most beautiful ones. The National Park will appear in such a different light with all the seasons. I think we will come back as soon as the heath is in full bloom.

One of my favourite looks of yours! So lovely and I love the skirt!

The location is to die for again!

Agree with you on the resolutions as I’m pretty much the same. It’s nice to reflect and perhaps think of ways to improve in various aspects of life but we do that as we go along l, right?

Big Love,
Tatyana xx
