SPRING PRINTS WITH POLKA DOTS & FLORALS

Spring prints? For me polka dots and florals always stand out and the same goes for summer. Without prints and some pattern my closet would be a tad too boring. Which doesn’t mean that I don’t admire those who look so effortless and super chic in a clean style. I think I just don’t like the look on myself. I’m probably not the type of person for it and if you ask me this is one of the crucial elements to find out. Sometimes I try on clothes and feel right away ‘This is me’ which then is a sign that I should get it. spring prints

I started to wear polka dots back in the 80s and I’m still not tired of them. They might be trendy or not, it doesn’t change my love. Whenever I browse some fashion sites and stumble upon something that has polka dots, I have to click on it. This is what happened when I saw this polka dot blazer and ballerinas from Boden. The shoes are also available as a pump version but since we are on the road a lot, flats are the better option for me. spring prints

I bought this straw boater hat 2 years ago and couldn’t be happier with it. It’s in fact very robust. I wore it again yesterday and a gale literally swept it off my head and it flew along the ground. Gladly this didn’t have any effect on it. I love boater hats in spring and summer and am currently looking for another one to get. This one is from Jaxon Hats and you can find a similar one here. I’ve just fallen in love with this one as well. spring prints

The blazer is lovely and versatile too; I can imagine that it goes well with an array of outfits. I also love the skirt and shoes! Being a sucker for all things polka dot, I may have to do a little online shopping on payday 🙂 Lisa

Thanks so much Julia. We took the photos in the gardens of Llangoed Hall in Wales. I always mention the location on the very top, right above of the title, I hope that helps. Have a wonderful day.xx

Yes, you should Jodie. I love the shoes not only because of the great polka dots, they are so comfy too. Thanks so much.

Kirsten it would be boring if we all liked the same sort of style. It is refreshing to see you in your polka dot shoes and smart blazer. People don’t really wear hats in New Zealand, except for sunhats of course. However, I love the look of a smart hat and you look great in your boater. Very British! Ruth

That couldn’t be more true Ruth, I follow an Australian blogger with a very minimalistic style (Harper & Harley), mostly black and white, no prints and all and she is just stunning. I’m so surprised that people don’t wear hats as an accessory in New Zealand. Beyond happy you like my look :)x

What a wonderful look, terrific pattern-mixing! I love polka dots as they just make me happy. However, I only realised how much I love them when I got a polka dot Boden silk blouse a couple of months ago, and now I’m on a mission to add lots more spots to my wardrobe. Your shoes are particularly fabulous. The outfit is a great celebration of spring!

Thank you so much Rozanna. I feel the very same when it comes to polka dots, it’s such a happy pattern and never fails to put a smile to my face. I just love Boden, I also have a polka dot blouse that I purchased last year.x
