It’s getting very springlike with today’s post from Arley Hall in Cheshire even though it doesn’t really feel like spring yet. It’s unusually chilly considering it’s April and we still need to wear our jackets. But this can change from one day to the next and you will soon be able to wear a shirt dress you’re seeing today. I love these kind of dresses for spring and summer and also love this, this and this style.

I’m currently very obsessed with basket bags. Honestly, I almost want all of them and I can’t remember to have been that crazy over bags before. I think basket bags just ooze happiness. Then again it’s understandable looking at this, this and this cute bag, no?

I really want to recommend Arley Hall to you. The estate is still privately owned and not only the manor house also the garden is gorgeous. We were the first visitors on a Sunday morning and were kind of confused when we saw that there were no other cars in the parking area. On our walk we even met the owners Lord and Lady Ashbrook who enjoyed the lovely weather and the garden too. Whenever we say ‘We have to come back here’ we know for sure that this place has to be shared and recommended.

My outfit:

Next Shirt Dress (so in love with this version too), AGL Brogues (old; really love these loafers and these brogues as well), Zara Basket Bag (love this and this one too), Zara Scarf (old; similar style here)

I do love this basket bag, Kirsten. I have seen a couple of others, but you could see through them, and I wasn’t sure I loved that aspect. But this one is fabulous!!
I need to wear my shirt dress as a dress. I’ve only ever worn it as a duster—silly, me!

Oh really? I wouldn’t like that either Jodie. This basket bag has some fabric inside which I think is great.

Liebe Buba, ich freu mich so, dass Du das sagst, vielen vielen Dank. Das stimmt, der Garten ist wirklich ein Traum, wahrscheinlich kein Wunder, dass es einige Brautpaare als Location wählen.
