Please excuse my MIA from the blog. We’ve been in Cornwall for a week now and our internet has been a real nightmare. It didn’t say so when we booked so it came as a total surprise and already caused some problems. At the end of the day, I think it had its pros though because it stopped me from working every single night and enjoy more time with my family. romantic castle ruins moreton corbet

Before going to beautiful Cornwall we went on a little discovery tour in Shropshire (you find one of my favourite posts here). During one of these tours we spotted a sign that said Moreton Corbet Castle. The romantic castle ruins are an English Heritage property and the building is from 2 different eras: A medieval stronghold on the one hand and an Elizabethan manor house on the other. Entry is free of charge and what’s absolutely lovely is that the ruins are in the middle of the English countryside. romantic castle ruins moreton corbet

You will also notice the increasing plaid on the blog making its usual appearance at this time of year. It has become quite dangerous for me as there are so many gorgeous pieces available right now and I find it hard to resist the urge to buy more than I can chew. Have you bought some new plaid pieces this season? Do tell and if you have some tips, I would really love to hear them as well.

My outfit:

ASOS Lace Blouse (old; similar style here and here), Check Trousers  (love these and these ones as well), Zara Loafers (similar ones here or here)

The ruins make a wonderful backdrop don’t they? Glad you are able to enjoy some holiday time with your family Kirsten. I really like the style of your trousers; they really suit you. Ruth xx
