This is something I’ve been wanting to do for so many years and now that it finally happened I have to pinch myself. It really has a lot to do with Pinterest which helps me a great deal with my vision and my dreams. One of my boards is called Classic English Country Style. I have so much love for it and could easily post hundreds of photos daily. In my head I was dreaming of wearing a rather chic outfit and style it with Hunter wellies and a raincoat. A break in style if you want. I think it’s something you can easily picture in the English countryside. Our photos were supposed to be taken on the estate of an English manor because this is what an outfit like this needs. luxury bed & breakfast

Hence, we headed to Pinkney Court in Wiltshire for the most wonderful weekend. I’m beyond happy to have found Pinkney Court by way of internet research so I immediately booked the ‘French Room’ for us. Netia who was brought up on the estate lives there together with her husband, children, dogs, horses and guinea fowls. It’s heaven on earth. The landscape is to die for and what can I say about the manor? It’s exactly as you would expect a manor to be. In my dreams Joerg and I live such a life but as it’s very unlikely that this will ever become a reality, we’re constantly seeking ways to get a little idea once in a while. Needless to say that an estate like that isn’t only a blessing but can certainly be a curse at times. The costs for preserving and maintaining it are immense. Oh well. Anyhow, we woke up on Saturday morning and saw that everything was covered with white frost. It was quite magical. Although our plan was to take the photos right after breakfast, we didn’t hesitate and headed outside right away to capture it. It was well worth it. And you know what? Funnily enough Netia and I have a lot in common because she is a beauty blogger for the Tatler and writes the column ‘Beauty in the country’. Sigh, I still can’t get over the beauty of it all. luxury bed and breakfast

Oh Kirsten it’s such a joy to see you wearing such an appropriate outfit for the surroundings and I’m so glad that you’ve got your Wellingtons on the ground can be very damp this time of the year.
Thank you for such a lovely post.

How lovely Kirsten that a dream of yours came true! You must have been a lady of the manor in a former life methinks. Lovely skirt. It is a pity we can’t see inside the manor as well. It sounds like a wonderful stay.

Oh I totally get that Nancy. It does but there are so many gorgeous places throughout the UK, really. I think you would love the North too. You have to go to Scotland!
