LUXURY BED & BREAKFAST WEEKEND GET AWAY

Last weekend was my birthday – the perfect opportunity to spend it in a luxury bed & breakfast. One of the nicest types of accommodation if you ask me. We chose Stamford Hall Bed & Breakfast in Warwickshire which is just about 5 miles east of Stratford-upon-Avon. It’s actually been a while since we last visited Stratford. It was during my semester abroad in Cambridge and we went to Stratford with my mom to visit Shakespeare’s birthplace. Such great memories. We bought a Town & Cottage Pass upfront which includes 4 sights. It’s valid for one year and if bought online, you even save a little money.

As per usual I discovered our wonderful accommodation online. The owners of Stamford Hall Alice and James are great hosts. James is such a talented photographer and painter. He published a very fascinating book on the battlefields of the first world war, visits them and takes very impressive photos. Being a former officer in the army, Joerg is very interested in military history and would have loved to talk to James a bit more as he has such profound knowledge. Plus he knows a whole lot about photography and getting a tip or two never hurt anybody. luxury bed & breakfast

When we took these photos yesterday morning, it rained cats and dogs, there were awful gales as well. We even had to stop at some point. Keeping this beautiful spot from you would be a real shame though. We were lucky that the weather got a bit better later on with some rain showers in between but still good enough to go out exploring. After a large breakfast, we headed out to Charlecote Park. We decided this last minute and were so happy we did. There’s more to come and I think you will like it. luxury bed & breakfast

We always love a bed and breakfast—they seem more friendly and you actually get to know the people. Besides breakfast is included—who doesn’t love that?
You’re so good to take photos even when the weather isn’t perfect—we usually chicken out and either change our day or go inside! But when you’re only there for a certain time period, you have to do it!!
