IN HARMONY WITH NATURE

Do you remember my posts from the Peak District (if you missed them, you can find them here, here and here)? It was the very first time in the area for us although it’s within such an easy reach. Even from the Wirral it’s a piece of cake to go there for one day so this is what we did. What made us do it? When we went to Stanage Edge and were on our way back home, our satnav led us via a stunning pass called Winnats Pass. Actually we had no idea or probably didn’t really pay attention enough. When you drive out of Castleton, you will automatically get to this pass. From a distance we were absolutely wowed, I mean how beautiful is it?

Being a blogger and Instagrammer you get such a good eye as years go by and I said to myself that I needed to come back here to have some outfit photos taken. Seeing this gorgeous spot it goes without saying! But to be quite fair: Coming here just to take outfit photos would be a real shame because this area is all about hiking. Well, we did walk quite a lot with my outfit and it was very adventurous at times (for example when I got stuck in the mud!) but going hiking needs some planning so we have to do this another day. Though I must admit that I got so jealous when we passed some hikers but I didn’t allow myself to be led astray because we wanted to work for the blog. I had my mind set on taking the photos where you had a fabulous view over the pass. It sounds easier than it was as fog was coming and going. But who cares! We walked past many sheep which I really missed during out visit to Germany for the holidays. They are a part of this landscape and I would not want to be without them. peak district

In the end I was relieved that I wore my chunky boots although they are always a great option if you go for a rustic British look. peak district

Lovely photos, both of your outfit and of the beautiful countryside. I think you would love New Zealand. We have a lot of sheep and lovely rural settings. We just don’t have the interesting historical buildings. Looking forward to the next post! Ruth

Everytime we enter the village we always stay when we are in the UK, I say:oh yes, we are finally in sheep country again! Even your outfits look Brittish! Wich I think are fantastic!

Oh Kathleen, it’s so wonderful there, isn’t it? It’s perfect for walks and enjoy nature at its best (and sheep). I can imagine that you loved it there as well.
