FAVOURITE COLOUR COMBINATIONS

My favourite colour combination stopped being a secret a long time ago. You all know it’s red and blue! I think it has been like that forever and isn’t going to change any time soon. I love wearing this combo in spring and summer and have it on repeat. My trousers and shirt are from Boden and it’s currently all reduced (here und here).

Red and Blue makes us happy and creates a holiday mood.

This might be the reason why you see it so often here on the blog. My colours in winter are more muted. People seem to love my Pinterest board Classic English Country Style which shows the style and combinations I adore the most next to red and blue.

We took these photos in Conwy in Wales. After a one hour drive we find ourselves in such a pretty little town that we once visited during a holiday in the UK. When we wanted to take the outfit photos, we realised that there wasn’t a battery in the camera! No photos then but we agreed on fish & chips instead. There are many fish & ship shops in Conwy and some of them offer gluten free options which is great for me. If you need to eat gluten free yourself, Conwy is your place to visit (we went here). We finally decided to return another day to take the outfit photos and gladly it all worked out, phew. favourite colour combinations

Conwy always reminds me a little bit of Cornwall with its harbour and all the boats; it’s so pretty here and Llandudno is just around the corner (you find a post here). My parents will be visiting in September and we’re going to Cornwall which I’m so excited about. I love water and Cornwall is my all time favourite area in the UK. THE spot for red and blue if you will. But then again I also love the mountains and we’re so lucky to have Snowdonia very nearby. And here the classic English country style comes into play. So I’m always torn between these areas and the styles that go with them. favourite colour combinations

We’ll be road tripping next week and I think we picked such a great accommodation. Stay tuned.

What a lovely place to visit. I see you found a boat to match your outfit! Yes, red and blue always looks very smart. You will be looking forward to having your parents here. I have been to Devon, but not to Cornwall. Silly me, as I didn’t realise at the time (or forgotten) that one side of my family are from there. The rest are from Devon. You are Lady Grantham and I think I am Demelza!
I hope your parents enjoy their time in England. Ruth xx

Thanks so much and I was so happy about the red and blue boats haha. Oh Cornwall is so amazing, you would love it, I had no idea that a part of your family are from there. That’s amazing. I love that, Lady Grantham and Demelza, they should have tea together 🙂 So looking forward to having my parents here.x
