Even though it’s currently raining here, we can’t really complain about the UK weather, can we? When I think about all those evenings Joerg and I were already able to play badminton in our garden – it’s incredible. And summer has only just begun. We’ve already had some very hot days in June here. We were blessed with the most amazing weather during our 4 days in Wiltshire and enjoyed every single minute. But I have to be honest with you, I’m almost glad that it doesn’t get as hot in the UK as it does in Germany. As soon as temperatures reach more than 30 degrees, I begin to struggle but I know that some of you are in top form just then. casual and comfortable summer dresses

On one of the evenings we drove to the villages Hindon and Teffont Magna. As it was already quite late but still very warm, I put on my dress from Joules (it’s currently on sale here). It’s very casual and comfy. We went to dinner afterwards and I opted for the best dress ever: Simply because there’s no pinching after a meal. This is what I like, it’s the kind of uniform you need when being on holiday. Clothes you feel you can live in and which is incredibly comfortable. casual and comfortable summer dresses

We stumbled upon the villages Hindon and Teffont Magna by chance and were immediately smitten. Everything seemed to be perfect. The little river Nivar that runs through Teffont Magna even had some white blooms in it (sadly I don’t know what they are called). Or take the phlox along the church wall – it literally looked like a painting and was almost surreal. Oh the beauty of it. So if you’re ever in South Wiltshire, you should try and visit these picturesque villages. I must say it’s these unplanned evenings that often turn out to be the best ones and that you’ll never forget.

Hi Kirsten, you look very smart in your cool dress. I remember that style back in the 70s perhaps? It is very flattering. I love your photos and was just reminded how the British have that quaint way of putting signs on buildings and their lovely signposts. Thanks for sharing your joyful jaunts xx
